This week with Baking Yesteryear we have another Macaroon cookie! These are the Forgotten Cookies from the 1950’s and you actually forget about them. These cookies need to be in a cooling Oven for at least 4 hours.
2 egg whites whipped
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
Pre heat over to 350F
Whisk egg whites and salt till they have peaks
Slowly add in the sugar and vanilla
Fold in your nuts and chocolate chips
Place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Put the baking sheets in the oven and the IMMEDIATELY shut off the oven.
Let the cookie sit in the oven for at least 4 hours. The longer the better.
