As a kid The Princess Bride was one of the first VHS tapes I received as a gift. I always skipped through the scary Fire Swamp parts. I though André the Giant was amazing and is by far my favourite character. The whole concept of the movie is amazing in my mind. Because of this I’m so disappointed that they want to remake it. Even though I will go and see it, if and when they finish it. I’ll be going in a little closed minded. Some movies shouldn’t be remade, this is one of them.
